Volunteering at Buddhasland:

Work hours are flexible and much depends on you. We are a small project which means there is a lot of scope for you to bring in your ideas and creativity. We expect you to work around twenty hours per week. Basic vegetarian meals are free for everybody working here. As a volunteer you will have a discount on all other activities of Buddhasland as well as in the restaurant. We offer rooms with local families that are associated to our project. Prices vary according to the standard of the room, mainly between 100 and 200 Rs.

We have a vegetable field, a herbal garden, a few apple orchards and flower beds. Also, we produce our own organic fertilizer and insect spray. Help is needed throughout the year in the ongoing activities. Apart from work on the field we would appreciate any help in our social programs as well, i.e. teaching English to the local kids or just organizing a party for them. We require a minimum stay of one month for the volunteers.

Working in India is a challenge but also a very rewarding experience. We would like you to be part of our project with which we try to promote organic agriculture and sustainable tourism in this beautiful mountain valley.

We are constantly looking for support in the following areas:

1) Organic farming and related activities. We are especially looking for someone with knowledge in this area and who can sty for a longer period of time in order to work more closely with the local farmers.
2) English-teacher for the village kids, aged around 10 to 14, class of 20 students
3) English-teacher for the adults (farmers)
