Climate
and seasons:
The
Kullu valley has four distinct seasons similar
to Europe. The activities in the center usually
start from Mid-March when the sun starts warming
up the days while nights are still cool. Cherry
blossom occurs during April while apple blossom
can be seen in early May. The valley is full
of flowers during the spring and the mountain
views are generally clear. During early summer
in June, days become progressively more warm
yet it is seldom hot. The build-up of the monsoon
starts obstructing the views during this time.
Monsoon generally breaks in Mid-July. Until
early September there is quite a bit of rain
in the valley restricting outdoor activities
though it is still warm. Mid-September to Mid-November
is the autumn season, with clear blue skies,
warm days and chilly nights and spectacular
views. The center generally closes down for
winter at the end of November.
